All About the Space Site...

We are big fans of aviation and especially, space flight. This web site started out being a photo album of a couple of trips to Kennedy Space Center (which we are still working on!) but the News section has "taken over". The main focus is manned space flight - historical stuff as well as Space Shuttle missions, Space Stations (Mir and ISS), and rocket launches. We'll cover major astronomical events (comets, etc)  and space science, too.

Enjoy!

25 Sep - Moved older, Shuttle-specific stories from the News page to the Shuttle page to make the News page a little quicker.
8 Oct 1999 - Added link to NASA Astronomy Picture of the Day on main navigator.
7 Nov 1999 - Broke News page into current quarter and archive for previous stories, to make the News page load faster. Moved Eclipse page under the Archive. Stripped down this log to only cover changes to the site itself (not every News update!).
16 Dec 1999 - First use of screenshots from NASA TV. It's about time we spruced up the old place!
18 Dec - First "live" coverage of a launch (EOS Terra) as it happens - we even scooped CNN!
19 Dec - First "live," minute-by-minute coverage of a Space Shuttle launch (STS-103).
2 Jan 2000 - Added Search page.
22 Jan - Added Guest Book.
25 Jan - Made an Archive2 page for news from Oct - Dec 1999, permitting current News page to load faster.

22 Aug - Made lots of additions to the Virtual Gift Shop.
5 Sep 2000 - Reorganized the Photo Tour page, in preparation for a new batch of photos.
7 Sep - Customized our "Favorites" icon, so if you drag our URL to your desktop, a little lunar lander (no, really!) appears instead of the generic IE icon.
8 Sep - Extensive coverage of Space Shuttle mission STS-106. Started use of in-line images in News pages.
10 Sep - Added Archive 7 page for August's news.
14 Sep - There was so much coverage (including photos) of the STS-106 mission to the ISS, that it was becoming difficult to find non-Shuttle news. We decided that each Shuttle mission that we cover in-depth should have its own subdirectory, summary page, and news page, leaving the main news page for other items.
17 Sep - Did a similar reorg for STS-99 and STS-103 (breaking them out from the old Shuttle page), and STS-92.
24 Sep - The main page counter exceeds 1000! Not a lot of visitors compared to other sites, but a milestone nonetheless.
